Hamilton, a fifth-generation Kansan, centers his campaign on an affordability agenda and on cleaning up corruption in Washington. On energy costs, he calls for ending what he describes as self-destructive tariffs and unnecessary wars and requiring data centers to pay their fair share of electricity costs. For seniors, he proposes prioritizing reimbursement for home-based care so seniors can age at home, and expanding Medicare to cover vision and dental. On housing, he supports ending across-the-board tariffs and requiring congressional approval for future tariffs, modernizing modular-home regulations beyond the ROAD to Housing Act, banning Wall Street and other investors from buying single-family homes, tax credits for first-time buyers and for firefighters, police officers, and teachers, and stopping algorithmic rent-pricing collusion. On health care, he backs protecting and investing in rural hospitals, reforming medical billing and medical debt, protecting a woman's right to choose, codifying access to contraception, and requiring insurers to cover over-the-counter birth control. On food and agriculture, he calls for passing a full farm bill, reforming the H-2A guest-worker program with year-round visas, expanding domestic fertilizer production, year-round E15, and banning algorithmic grocery price-fixing, while lowering partisan tension to reduce economic uncertainty. On government reform, he proposes banning stock trading by members of Congress and their households, extending the ban to cryptocurrency, barring members and staff from prediction-market betting, constitutional term limits and age limits for Congress and the Supreme Court, stronger congressional residency requirements, curbing dark money, withholding member pay during shutdowns, a longer lobbying ban, restored inspector general protections, and limits on the presidential pardon power. For consumers, he supports banning junk fees, restoring overdraft fee protections, investigating private equity consolidation in health care, housing, and groceries, and clawbacks on economic-development incentives. For workers, he supports strengthening the right to organize, fully funding the NLRB, OSHA, and NIOSH, cracking down on wage theft, and the No Robot Bosses Act requiring human review of AI-driven employment decisions.
