Holscher says she will fight to make Kansas more affordable, strengthen schools, and protect seniors, veterans, and farmers. Her issues page says rising property taxes should not push people from their homes; every Kansan should be able to afford a doctor; the state should stop approving new data centers until guardrails are in place and end "sweetheart deals" for billionaire CEOs; the cost-of-living crisis must be brought under control so working people can support a family; and farmers and ranchers deserve support. She backs world-class public schools, legalizing recreational and medical cannabis to raise revenue for schools and services, and safeguarding Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Describing a common-sense rather than extreme approach, she cites helping design the 2017 law that reversed the Brownback tax experiment and restored school and service funding, securing $500 million in new school funding, opposing school funding cuts and private school vouchers, and working to eliminate the sales tax on food and income tax on Social Security benefits. She says she has repeatedly voted to expand Medicaid, protect rural hospitals, and legalize medical cannabis, and supported expanded telemedicine and mental health care and legalizing fentanyl test strips.
